F*ck Off Big Nose Take Two!

After tweeting last night I have had time to think about what happened, ie the inaccessible event that has been organised and of course what I blogged. I do not regret what I have said, however I am concerned that some people who I care about may have misunderstood what I was trying to say.

Firstly the event that I can’t access. I started to feel sorry for you and was concerned that I may make you feel bad that you are holding an event that I will be missing out on, even though many of my friends will be attending. On reflection only you know how much effort was put in to making sure your event is accessible to all.

Secondly friends: Many of my friends are considerate to my needs and I thank you for that, I lay in bed last night knowing that some friends will be taking what I said personally. Sadly once I’m in bed i’m like a stunned rabbit, can’t move! So there was nothing I could do to try and explain to them:-/ I am lucky to have some great friends, too many to mention but you should know who you are and that I love you all. Well some I just use because you make me appear better looking;-)

I still don’t think I’m explaining myself very well, hmmm. Basically I would never expect my friends to change their plans because of me, I don’t want you to miss out on things just because I can’t do something. Example, I can’t do rock climbing but I can p*ss my pants laughing at you all cacking yours;-) Life is short as the old chestnut goes *blink* and it is and life should be full of love, fun, excitement, kinky things! I don’t want to spend my life moaning about my disability all the time, I have to do enough fighting just to get the most basic of things (such as a wheelchair) so fighting against every business etc as to why I want to access their building is not something I have the energy for.

Obviously not all buildings can be made accessible and if they can who will pay for it? Money is key to most things if not everything, but sometimes just a free comment from no one of importance can make the wheels begin in motion. “Hiya, a pint and some nuts please, by the way, any plans to make this place accessible?” would that be harder than the normal pointless forced minute of communication whilst you wait for your order? “Hiya, a pint and some nuts please, crap weather again huh?”

Ok I’m annoying myself here, looky here. If you plan an event and forget about me, charming! If you are a business that has no access, ask your self why is this? and last, friends don’t panic about getting things wrong or feeling you can’t or shouldn’t do something because of me:-) If you want me to pee in a bottle in your living room that is fine, just turn your backs you pervs!
